When I had a baby with me, and other babies within the cradle would work 12 hour shifts cleaning floors and tear off wallpaper. Ha! The home was starting to appear nice, however there was a lot left. The home would require a great deal of effort and a love to shop. To keep my budget intact, I went with three of my boys to look for deals at estate sales. Each week we would spend between Thursday and Saturday in estate sales and garage sales buying brand new furniture. After that, I repainted and smoothed the driveway during the workweek. The furniture looked like this... and that's the place I discovered my love for restoration. When our home was finished, I didn't want to quit! On the streets I set up a little area and then sold a few pieces. I eventually had so many pieces I didn't know what to do and my storage space was a mess. Open houses were held in my home where one 000 people could visit over a weekend, and the visitors were able to purchase items on the ground level. This is where my business Growing Days was born. Not only was my business expanding, but so was our sweet family as well. As a mom of a child, I found the right balance to both start my own company and become a great mother. Growing Days fit perfectly. Nora was born in 2013 and became our fourth baby. My business was going well however I needed a break. I made the decision to take a break to spend time in my home with my children. It was time. However after a few months after that, the phone began to ring. I was getting calls from people seeking help for the interior decoration and remodeling. A majority of them came into my residence at my open house for furniture. I began taking on clients at a time going at my own pace but it didn't take time before I was running multiple accounts and was running the complete business of home remodeling. When I first heard about my home renovation business I was astonished. It's true that I smile when I think about the idea.
